SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
FRIDAY NIGHT:
The opening event is a traditional Friday night “mixer” held at Juanita's in their fabulous Party Room. The cost of admission is $25.00 per person. The cost includes appetizers, and non- alcoholic beverages only. A cash bar will be also be available for those who wish to purchase alcohol. Each class of '89 graduate may bring one guest, but an additional $25.00 ticket must be purchased for that guest. Other graduating classes will be admitted only after 9 p.m. This allows the Class of 1989 to have a dedicated portion of the evening for fellowship with our graduating class only. There is a CD player available, so feel free to bring your own CD’s to play during the mixer.
*The reunion committee will not be responsible for keeping your CD’s secure, so please be prepared to pick them up before you leave.
SATURDAY MORNING:
A guided tour of McClellan High School will begin at 8:30 a.m. The tour is free, and security will be provided free of charge as well, by the school.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON:
A free family picnic will begin promptly at 10 a.m in the beautiful Pinnacle Mountain State Park. Food and beverages will not be provided, so please bring a picnic lunch, beverages, and recreational items, you feel you and your guests may need to have a wonderful day at the park (I.E. lawn chairs, food, drinks, frisbees, outdoor games, etc.) We also ask that you bring a pot-luck dessert to share with others as we enjoy a beautiful afternoon in the park. The pot-luck dessert is not mandatory for admission, as we understand that some attendees have traveled from out of town, and may not be able to bring dessert. The Reunion Committee will provide plates, utensils, & napkins, thanks to generous donations from sponsors.
*Please note that this is a family event, and we ask that you refrain from drinking alcohol while at the picnic.
SATURDAY NIGHT:
The location for the McClellan 20 year Class Reunion June 13th Banquet has been changed by popular demand. Many of you voiced your desire for a more casual and relaxed atmosphere to reconnect with our classmates. In addition, many of our classmates have been so busy during this busy graduation season, you may not have not gotten a chance to pay your registration and fees. We have heard your requests, and listened!
We are happy to inform you that the banquet has been moved from the Crowne Plaza, and will now be held at the beautiful Cajun’s Warf Party room. Registration to pick up your name tags will begin at 6pm and dinner will start promptly at 7pm. There will be a cash bar available for those of you who want to chat over a nice chilled drink. The menu will be posted at a later date.
Registration for both Friday and Saturday nights will be extended until May 29, 2009 to allow those of you to register, who have not gotten a chance to do so. Get ready for fabulous food, laughter and fun reconnecting with the McClellan Class of 89’!
